1% Mahogany
A deep, rich, full bodied exotic wood scent, with a touch of spice. Pretty much what a man should smell like.

2% Pipe Tobacco
Sherlock was onto a good thing, at least scent-wise. We love the smell of a good pipe. Demeter's Pipe Tobacco is rich, deep, moist and pungent, with touches of both sweetness and spice; everything you could ask for from a fine tobacco accord. So apparently did Native Americans. The origin of tobacco use in the Western world started with the discovery of the Americas. When, in his 1492 trip to the Americas--not the West Indies as he imagined, Christopher Columbus arrived to Bahia Bariay in the Oriente Province of Cuba, and heard from the local natives that there was gold at nearby Cubanacan (or the "middle of Cuba"). Columbus misunderstood the word 'Cubanacan' and heard it say "el Gran Can," the Great Khan of China. Immediately, he sent emissaries bearing gifts (glass beads and trinkets) to meet this famous potentate. They met the local "cacique" or chief, but the Great Khan was nowhere to be found. In their return to the ship they met a walking party of Taino indians who "were going to their villages, with a firebrand in their hand, and herbs to drink the smoke thereof, as they are accustomed." They relighted the cigar at every stop and passed it around for everyone to take a few drags though their nostrils. After the Spanish successfully introduced tobacco to Europe and the British aristocracy adopted pipe smoking as a popular pastime, its increasing cultivation formed the economic basis of the first successful English colonies in North America.

3% Silvery Tip Pekoe Tea
Silvery Tip Pekoe Tea is a very clean fragrance, a light green scent with citrus notes and light floral notes. Fresh and invigorating, the scent is inspired by the expensive and luxurious Silvery Tip Pekoe white tea, mostly from the Fujian and Zhejiang provinces in China. Silvery Tip is highly prized for its famous color and appearance, as well as it's taste and smell.

4% Tarnish
Co-Founder Christopher Gable's mother got a silver dish from local Ladies Club (in the 60s when there still were such things). The dish sat in the china closet and came out (perhaps) at Thanksgiving. But, the wonderful thing it acquired during its solitude was the beautiful tangy-old-silvery scent of Tarnish. And here it is.

5% This Is Not A Pipe
OK, we couldn't help ourselves. Keep reading, and you will understand what we mean. Blame that formative Art History course. And all that post modern literature in college. 'This is not a Pipe' is the title of a painting by Rene Magritte, painted in the 1930s. It shows a very realistic looking pipe and under it are the words "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" or This is Not a Pipe, i.e., it's a picture not a thing. Wow, heavy! And very cool too. Get it? Demeter's This Is Not A Pipe cologne just smells like a pipe. This is the way we feel about our scents. It's not the thing itself, but it's a very particular experience of it. A beautiful concept. We're going to lie in the grass and dwell on it for a bit.................

6% Whiskey Tobacco
It's as simple as this. We think this blend of Whiskey and Tobacco Smoke is a great masculine scent. And sometime it's nice to be reminded of your Dad.

7% Aphrodite’s Slipper Orchid

This is a spicy floral, variously described as cinnamon or cloves mixed with honey, or freshly mowed hay. Exotic and irresistibly unique Aphrodite’s Slipper reveals different aspects of its character at different moments in time. Aphrodite’s Slipper is also known as Masdevallia.

Most of these plants are from high altitude cloud forests and require very cool conditions and abundant moisture throughout the year. They cannot tolerate dryness, low humidity, or excessive temperatures and the plants are very easy to kill.
